This is a fantastic opportunity to join one of the world's leading EPC contractors in the important position of Senior Planner for a major water project in Perth, Western Australia.

The primary function of the role is to provide advice and support to the Project Manager on all aspects regarding project schedule and progress status. You will be responsible for the development of the project work plan and associated metrics; for schedule maintenance and closeout documentation.

A degree in engineering or construction, or 20 years in a planning role is required. A minimum of 10 years experience in planning/scheduling in an engineering, procurement and construction environment is required. Cost engineering experience would be an advantage, combined with a high skill level in the use of CPM planning and Primavera P3.

Cultural awareness is important, along with an ability to interact with senior project staff and staff at all levels to obtain information to assist in putting the project plan together. You need to understand how a project works so that you can influence and sell the plan to senior project staff. Strong planning, organizational and negotiation experience is imperative.
