Safety Manager

Based in Sydney, initially, this is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia's leading Engineering and Construction Group's in the important position of Safety Manager.

The primary function of the role is to ensure compliance with the company's safety system and legal obligations in respect of civil infrastructure projects up to the value of $100 million.

Essentially you will have a minimum of 5 years experience in the engineering or building construction industries, combined with a sound knowledge of NSW State legislation, and a Certificate IV workplace Trainer & Assessor qualification.

You must have a proven ability to operate effectively in the work environment, and have exposure to handling a range of site safety issues. Effective communication at all levels on site is imperative to your success. A proven ability to sell safety rather than dictate safety, is required.

On a personal level, you must be motivated, organized, able to handle various types of projects and be prepared to work in a team environment.
