Project Director Telecommunications

Based in Melbourne CBD, this is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia’s leading Telecommunication Group’s in the important position of Project Director, responsible for driving recently awarded, Federal Government backed Contracts.

The primary function of the role is to Manage the Client and their Contracts. This will involve managing multiple construction projects around the country, including remote areas, with each contract valued at $100 million plus.

Qualifications in Engineering, Telecommunications and/or Project Management are preferred, but not essential combined with a minimum 5 years construction project management experience and a minimum 5 years Telecommunications experience.

Excellent Client Management and Contract Management skills and experience are required to be successful in this role. You must have a proven ability to negotiate claims and extensions of time to obtain the best results and solutions for your company. Proven cost management success is required as you seek to complete projects on time, to budget and to the client’s satisfaction.

On a personal level you must be able to handle pressure in a dynamic, fluid environment as this is the nature of the contracts and projects.
