Mechanical Design Engineer

Based in Perth, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading EPC Contracting organization working on an important wastewater treatment project, in the role of Mechanical Design Engineer.

The primary functions of the role are to; prepare design materials for design assignments, including analysis, calculations, equipment selection, procurement and construction drawings and document preparation, plus field equipment assessment, detailed pumping calculations and development of preliminary layouts.

A mechanical engineering degree is required combined with a minimum 2-3 years experience in wastewater or water treatment plant detailed design and a minimum of 5 years postgraduate experience. Familiarity with preparing specifications and data sheets for procurement packages and subcontracts is important.

Overall, you need to be a "hands on" process capable Contractors mechanical engineer with good attention to detail, problem solving skills, initiative and an ability to work unsupervised.
