Based in an Australian capital city, this is a fantastic opportunity to join a Major Engineering Construction Group in the key position of Senior Estimator, or as an Estimator, training and working toward that position.

The primary function of the role is to be able to perform cost estimates from first principles, including work method studies, programming, resourcing and production estimates of both labour and plant.

In addition a Senior Estimator must be able to manage the entire bid process as a bid team leader from start-up through management review, to bid submission.

Engineering Qualifications will be preferred but are not essential, combined with a good knowledge of construction methods and plant

The 2 types of people we are looking for are:

1. Experienced Civil Estimators with sound industry experience and knowledge.
2. Civil Construction Engineers and/or Managers who have at least 10 years of sound site experience who want to become estimators.

To be successful you will require excellent communication skills to work within the estimating team, and with the project teams. Competent computer skills will also be preferred.
