Construction Manager Civil WA

Based in Western Australia, this is a fantastic opportunity to join one of Australia's leading Engineering and Construction organizations in the important position of Construction Manager-Civil.

The primary function of the role is to "focus" on the civil construction works of a project over the value of $500 million. The role is based on-site and requires the person to "build the project".

Essentially you will have a civil engineering degree or certificate qualification with a minimum of 15 years experience in a combination of civil works, structural works, concrete and pre-cast. Any remote site experience will also be helpful.

Proven construction management skills are required to be successful in this role. Safety will be your number one priority combined with a proven ability to understand how projects are put together. You must understand the logistics of remote work and it's difficulties. A strong understanding of concrete is required.

This role will have 120 staff reporting to it, plus labour force plus subbies. You must be a team player who can manage this remote workforce.

On a personal level you must be motivated, team orientated, decisive and someone who enjoys their work.
